Precious bundle - affenpinscher puppy

Today's dog is my 70th daily dog! I have also painted a further 12 other daily paintings - cats, chickens, the odd portrait and a few that never saw the light of day - so my 82nd daily painting altogether. Feel chuffed.
This dear little thing is an Affenpinscher puppy. The breed originated in Germany, and the name Affenpinscher translates from German as "Monkey Terrier." It is believed that the first dogs of this breed were larger in size as they were farm dogs that worked as ratters. The Affenpinscher was miniaturised and became a house pet during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Breed afficianados claim it is an affenpinscher who makes an appearance in Luncheon of the Boating Party by Pierre-Auguste Renoir
