Watching III

This doggy is in a pub somewhere in deepest, darkest England, watching the first falls of snow and perhaps looking out for Father Christmas, who knows? My little dog is often watching out of the window or through the glass-panelled front door, but I rarely know what he is looking for.
The lighting is tricky in this piece: warm lighting from a distant room (back left of the painting). Warm lighting out of sight, front left (lighting up the settle) and cool light (moonlight?) coming in from the window. I got a bit befuddled about shadow colours with all this going on, but I think it has turned out believable.
Have a lovely weekend and thank you for looking at my paintings.
