Another quick, loose painting with a single, large flat brush, this little dog seemed to me to be all fur and paws.
This golden copper colour is fairly common in dogs and hard to mix. On this one, I used Transparent Oxide Red and Cad Yellow Light, with ultramarine for the darks, after a false start with Burnt Sienna. Burnt sienna does vary by manufacturer I have found, but in some brands it has a tendency to turn pink if it catches sight of a tube of white. Pink is not a good look in a dachshund.
